As title says, mudbox sculpting tutorial by eat3D, haven't seen it yet, but should be great as it's by eat3D. Also, I would think sculpting a head is a generic thing, independent of software.

A good read to understand how rays and sampling works.
Read through to understand why use DMC sampler and what those max n min rate thing does.

Basically,
Fixed sampling wastes time
Adapative is better,
while DMC is even more accurate.
