Post Sketch recommendation.
Hi everyone, I'm sketch.

I decided to start this thread to add cg stuff which i find useful and interesting instead of always starting a new thread. So check it out once in a while.

Here's a pretty long tutorial(90mins) by a 20year old jap teaching sculpting in zbrush. It's in Jap, but note the age of this guy, yes just 20 and he has gotten into the top row of zbrushcentral. I figured we can learn alot from watching timelapse video of masters sculpting, and here is a real time one, cool.

Some of the older tutorial and useful stuff I posted are as followed.

3ds max mental ray scene set up.

Google Anatomy Body. Do not use IE. Other browser should be fine.

Useful Script to import/export stuff from different versions of 3ds max.

Character Creation for Videogames(complete and updated 7 part epic tutorial)

That's all for now folks. Digest as much knowledge as you can, it never hurts.

If you still haven't seen it yet(living in a cave or something), then here is the video clip of the amazing Iron Baby.

Been awhile, here's some rather depressing truth within the vfx industry. read it at your own risk.

This is a vray water tutorial.
This tutorial only works for certain type of liquid but should equip you with the skills to make your own liquid shader.
It also touched on the little matter of modelling for water which is a good knowledge to have.

http://www.pixelab.be/blog/2008/09/14/fog-bias-parameter-test-in-vray-material/
this goes along with the water material above. The fog bias + mutiplier can do wonders for different type of liquids.

look up the characters section for 3d modeller. there is a 360 degree turntable for every character. there is much to learn just by looking and comparing.
