nice work! any videos of the tests to share? :D

The videos never went through post work so it would be quite different from the image you see.

Hi there, that's just a learning process... nothing in particular. It's just to try my hand on the hair system.

Btw, I am curious to see your works too guys.

thank. and yup, that was one of the motivation. I know it can be done long ago just never knew it was that easy. You should try it too.
the shader is the troublesome thing. still not getting the shader right yet.

Nice :) Kinda makes me feel thirsty..
Did you do any post work? Seems there's some chromatic aberration on the liquid. Or is it just glow?

Im doing something similar for a project actually.

for the shader, if you are using the A&D mentalray material, play around with the Max Distance under the advance reflection tab. This gives a nice colored liquid.
* The values are based on your scene scale.

Good Liquid needs a good Env, to catch reflections. You can just put in white planes (to cast reflections) to help improve the look.

gd luck

Hi

savethebees,
thank and CA was done in post.

aaron,
I'm using Vray. I did use white planes... in fact, I used the white planes to project lights. Other reflections include the environment and HDRI. thank anyway.

Here's a practise sculpt.
ImageJoke of A Sculpt.

The painting is a little pixelated as I forgot to increase the subdivision before painting.
